The second step in the conciliation process between the Bosch management and the striking employees with the Additional Labour Commissioner (AdLC) of Karnataka will commence on Monday, according to Mr Raghavendra, executive committee member of the MICO Employees' Association (MEA).
The employees, meanwhile, are continuing the relay hunger strike at Bosch's Adugodi facility, and propose to intensify it over the weekend. The strike by employees, against the company management's decision to outsource certain manufacturing processes carried out at the plant, entered its ninth day on Friday.
The first meeting, as part of the quasi-judicial conciliation process involving the Bosch management, the MEA and the AdLC, held on October 4 resulted in no clear outcome and effected no change in the strike by the employees.
