Real estate developer Brigade Group is entering into an agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) to set up 10 Holiday Inn Express hotels across South India.
The three-star brand of hotels will be owned by Brigade and managed by IHG, and add to the former’s existing portfolio of six hotels in the same part of the country, including those operational and those under development.
The first two hotels under the new partnership will open in 2017, while the remaining eight will become operational before 2020, Brigade said in a filing to the BSE.
Brigade and IHG are currently in partnership for the Holiday Inn Tidel Park on Old Mahaballipuram Road, Chennai, which is due to open in early 2015.
