Britannia Industries Ltd has reported a revenue increase of 9 per cent to Rs 1,620 crore in the fourth quarter of 2013-14. Profit from operations grew 26.7 per cent to Rs 148 crore.
“Net profit at Rs 92 crore increased 4.2 per cent, which was impacted by exceptional item of Rs 20 crore (pre-tax) towards provision for diminution in value of investment in Daily Bread,” the company said in a statement.
“Moreover, Q4 of previous year included profit on sale of property (pre-tax) of Rs. 7.5 crore,” it added.
Full-year net profit increased 58.1 per cent to Rs 370 crore.
The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 12 a share.
