Driven by launch of innovative products in both its health and nutrition segment and delight segment, biscuit major, Britannia Industries Ltd, posted a 19 per cent growth in its net profit for the second quarter of fiscal 2011-12.
Net profit stood at Rs 38 crore for the quarter, while revenues were at Rs 1,294 crore for the period recording a year-on-year growth of 18 per cent.
“We continue to drive consumer offtake, cost effectiveness and operational efficiencies to generate profitable growth,” said Ms Vinita Bali, Managing Director, BIL.
