British Paints has announced the inauguration of its fourth factory in the country at Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh.

Strategically located, the new plant is expected to cater to supplies to the Southern markets and later to the Western market as well. Established 1919 in Britain, British Paints made its India entry in 1947 and is one of the leading paint brands in the country.

Located at Gollapuram Industrial Park in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, this British Paints factory is an integrated unit for supply of water based, solvent based and dry paints, both for the decorative and industrial segments. Developed on a 11-acre site, the factory has been designed to allow phase-wise expansion over the years.

Ranjit Singh, President of British Paints, in a statement said, “Hitherto we have been North-centric in terms of manufacturing units. It hampered growth in the Southern markets, since timely supply is of paramount importance in our industry. With the Hindupur unit, we will now work on expanding our footprint in South, by adding new branches as also dealers. The industrial segment will also receive focused attention from our side. We are planning major promotional activities in the months ahead to announce our commitment to Southern India.”

The paint company’s other dedicated manufacturing plants are located in Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
