The standoff between broadcasters and advertising agencies has been resolved.
Leading broadcasters, who had been pulled by tax authorities for not deducting taxes at source on commissions charged by advertising agencies, had earlier stopped airing commercials from May 1.
They were only airing some commercials of agencies which had agreed for net bills and had refused do transactions on the basis of gross bills.
Broadcasters and advertising associations had been in intense discussion to sort out the matter for the past two days.
