BS Limited has bagged an EPC contract for the construction of a 765 KV double circuit transmission line between Raipur in Chhattisgarh and Wardha in Maharashtra.
The Rs 250-crore order for setting up the 178-km line is to be completed within the next 12 months.
The scope of work comprises survey, foundations, erections, earthing and stringing of lines, including supply of tower and related accessories.
Rajesh Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, BS Limited in a statement said, “EPC in power transmission and distribution offers a great opportunity going forward as the Government is focused on removing bottlenecks. We look forward to participate in upcoming bids as well.”
BS Limited has a tower manufacturing facility with an installed capacity of 240,000 tonnes a year and a backward integrated structural steel mill with an installed capacity of 120,000 tonnes a year near Hyderabad.
