BS Ltd has registered a net profit of Rs 15.49 crore, down 5.4 per cent, for the second quarter ended September 30 against Rs 16.37 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal on a consolidated basis. Income from operations was up 6 per cent at Rs 619.60 crore against Rs 583.36 crore for the same period last year.
Formerly known as BS Transcomm Ltd, BS offers EPC and infrastructure services for power and telecom sector. During the first-half ended September 30, the company’s revenue crossed the Rs 1,000-crore turnover mark logging Rs 1,126.43 crore (Rs 933.10 crore).
Net profit was up at Rs 30.74 crore (Rs 29.69 crore). The company’s revenues on a standalone basis grew 31 per cent to Rs 483.25 crore during the second quarter (Rs 369.02 crore). The net profit was lower at Rs 13.68 crore (Rs 14.98 crore). BS shares closed at Rs 126, down 3.23 per cent, on the BSE today.
