Cairn India has received environment clearance to increase production in its Barmer block from 200,000 to 300,000 barrels of oil a day, a source said. However, the clearance has been granted subject to certain conditions, such as meeting emission as well as effluent (waste water) standards, regularly uploading the status of compliance with clearance conditions and monitored data on its website, and developing a green belt to check fugitive emissions.
