CESC net profit has remained stagnant at Rs 111 crore in the first quarter this year against Rs 110 crore in the corresponding period last year.
According to the company, the profitability has been impacted due to fuel price hike. It has submitted a petition before the regulator for 34 paise a unit hike in fixed cost.
According to CESC Vice-Chairman, Mr Sanjiv Goenka, Gujarat solar unit of 9 MW will be on stream in January or February. Spencers Retail is expected to be in black in 5 to 7 quarters.
