Tata Motors has appointed N Chandrasekaran as its Chairman, the company said in a filing with stock exchanges.
In a regulatory filing, the company said: “The Board of Directors have appointed Natarajan Chandrasekaran as Additional Director and Chairman of the board with immediate effect.”
Chandra, as he is popularly known, was named Chairman of Tata Sons last week and is set to take charge of the $103-billion conglomerate from February 21.
He will be the first non-Parsi Chairman of the 150-year-old Tata Group.
