Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd has reported a net profit of ₹98.05 crore (net loss ₹450.07 crore) on a total income of ₹10715.88 crore (₹7,624.02 crore) for the quarter ended September 30, 2016.
During the corresponding period in the previous year, the company reported a loss of ₹450.07 crore on a total income of ₹7,624.02 crore.
Finance costs have dropped steeply to ₹58.65 crore (₹104 crore).
The crude throughput at the standalone oil refinery of IOC was 2.930 mt (2.037 mt) during the quarter. Gross Refining Margin was lower at $5.59 a barrel ($5.99 a barrel).
