Chettinad Cement today reported 26.49 per cent dip in standalone net profit at Rs 22.22 crore for the quarter ended March 31.
It had clocked Rs 30.23 crore net profit in the January-March quarter of the 2011-12 fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.
The total Q4 income dipped slightly to Rs 607.73 crore, against Rs 602.18 crore a year ago.
Expenses also went up to Rs 571.26 crore, compared to Rs 551.32 crore during the January-March quarter of the previous fiscal.
For the entire 2012-13 fiscal, Chettinad’s net profit fell to Rs 137.54 crore, compared to Rs 188 crore in the previous financial year.
Income from operations, however, rose to Rs 2,450.78 crore against Rs 2,059.90 crore.
The company scrip closed at 704.25, down 0.11 per cent, on the BSE.
