Chitrangada, Jwala in step with Gillette's Soldiers for Women campaign

Bollywood star Chitrangada Singh, badminton player Jwala Gutta and Southern star Sundeep Kishan have come together to support Gillette’s Soldier for Women campaign.

At a meeting here today, the trio shared how men exhibit camaraderie, courage and integrity to stand up for women.

The Gillette campaign has attracted more than 3 million people to share their experiences and support the movement. Each of them has highlighted how men, in various ways and different situations, are not just bystanders but have stood up for women whenever required.

The Gillette Soldier for Women initiative has travelled across cities bringing like-minded people together.

As part of the initiative, Gillette has tied up with NGO Plan India to spread awareness about the initiative. Through this initiative, Gillette brand seeks to encourage men to act like soldiers for women.

Sharing her experience, Jwala Gutta said her father had a profound influence on her, supporting her at every phase of here life amidst adversity. “He is like a real life soldier for me,” she said.

Chitrangada narrated a couple of instances, including one in London and another one while shooting, where men showed exemplary courage to help her out of crisis.
