The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will hold its two-day 13th India Innovation Summit at Hotel Lalith Ashok in Bengaluru, beginning tomorrow.
The meet — with the theme ‘The New Wealth of Nations – Innovation and Intellectual Capital’ — will cover subjects such as teens as innovators to disrupt the existing businesses, rise of machines and future of human labour, India’s digital transformation into a cashless economy, the great expectations on the e-commerce industry - scaling the consumption economy, the role of society and culture on innovation, the rise of personalised/precision medicine, the role of technology in continuing education, and intellectual property rights and the scope of innovation as a new State diplomacy.
The conference is also expected to cover the digital transformation of Indian economy, placing India at a vantage point, especially in terms of last-mile offerings.
Moving to the consumption side of the Indian growth story, the session on e-commerce has been set up to offer a 360-degree view of the industry. There will also be a talk on the spiritual wealth of a nation..
Speakers comprise industry leaders such as Kris Gopalakrishnan, co-founder, Infosys; Rekha Menon, Chairman, Accenture India; Vijaya Kumar Ivaturi, co-founder, Crayon Data; Kamal Bali, Managing Director, Volvo India; Sanjeev Sharma, Managing Director, ABB India; Debarati Sen, Managing Director, 3M India and Lanka, and Prof Sadagopan, President, IIIT Bangalore.
There will be addresses by thought leaders such as Gopichand Katragadda, CTO, Tata Sons; management and market research consultant Rama Bijapurkar and Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge.
