Coal India Ltd (CIL) has reported a 7.3 per cent increase in coal production between April and December 2014 against the same period in 2013. This was 97 per cent of the target production. It also reported a 3.8 per cent growth in offtake for the period under review. Offtake for the six-month period (April-December 2014) stood at 354.60 million tonnes.
