Coca-Cola’s India unit and South West Asia business operations comprising key markets —– India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives — will now be arranged around two different operating regions — India and South West Asia. According to the company, each business unit will have a separate head. The special attention to India is indicative of growing importance of the region. “Indian market is now amongst the top seven markets for the company,” the company said in a release.
Venkatesh Kini, currently Vice-President, Marketing, Global Juice, has been appointed Senior Vice-President, India region. Neeraj Garg, currently Vice-President providing franchise leadership support to Company Owned Bottling Operations (CBO) in India, will assume the responsibility of SWA region and juice business. Both these executives will report to Atul Singh, President, Coca-Cola India and South West Asia Business Unit. Vikas Chawla will assume the responsibility of Vice-President Operations, providing franchise leadership support to the CBO . In this capacity, Vikas Chawla will report to Venkatesh Kini.
