Colgate Palmolive (India) Ltd’s Hyderabad factory has ceased manufacturing operations after all employees at the unit accepted the voluntary retirement scheme offered by the company.

The company said in a notification to the stock exchanges that it offered VRS to the employees working at its Hyderabad unit engaged in production of toothpowder.

As all the employees have accepted the scheme, manufacturing at the Hyderabad factory has been discontinued effective September 29.

This will not impact toothpowder business as it has adequate capacity to cater to the demand, it said.
