FMCG firm Colgate Palmolive today said its net profit rose by 45.54 per cent to Rs 145.08 crore in the second quarter ended September 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 99.68 crore during the corresponding period of previous fiscal.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 773.77 crore during the second quarter, as compared to Rs 657.24 crore during the same period of 2011-12 fiscal, Colgate Palmolive (India) Ltd said in a BSE filing.
For the six months ended September 30, 2012, the company posted a net profit of Rs 262.50 crore as against Rs 200.12 crore in the same period of 2011-12 fiscal.
Shares of Colgate Palmolive today closed at Rs 1,238.90 on the BSE, up 0.88 per cent from their previous close.
