The country's largest passenger vehicles maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) on Tuesday said it sold 1,10,599 units in the domestic market in November, up 11 per cent compared with 1,00,024 units in the corresponding month last year.
The growth in sales were mainly led by compact segment, especially with the launch of Baleno in October. The compact segment (including Swift, Celerio and Baleno) grew more than 19 per cent to 44,626 units during the month against 37,339 units in November 2014.
The mid size segment (Ciaz) grew five per cent to 5,509 units last month compared with 5,232 units in November last year.
The utility segment (including Ertiga, S-Cross) grew more than 57 per cent to 8,688 units during the month against 5,515 units in the corresponding month last year.
