The country's largest passenger vehicles maker Maruti Suzuki India had sold 1,26,220 units in November, up 14 per cent compared with 1,10,599 units in the corresponding month last year.
The sales were led by the Compact segment (Celerio, Swift, Baleno) at 49,431 units during the month, up 11 per cent against 44,626 units in November last year, the company said in a statement today.
Similarly, the Mini segment sales also grew to 38,886 units, up eight per cent (35,981 units).
In the Utility Vehicle segment (Ertiga, S-Cross and Vitara Brezza), the company had sold 17,215 units in November, almost double that of what it sold in the corresponding month last year (8,688 units).
However, mid-size sedan (Ciaz) sales fell to 5,433 units in November against 5,509 units in November 2015.
