Conduent Inc, a digital interactions company, announced the formal inauguration of its office here on Wednesday in the Millennium Towers at Rushikonda atop a hillock on the beach road.

After the formal inauguration, Lokesh Prasad, CEO, APAC, Conduent, and Pratap Sarker, group chief executive, financial services and healthcare, said 1,500 employees have been recruited during the past year or so. They said the Visakhapatnam office would play a pivotal role in the Asia-Pacific region.

Lokesh Prasad said that the the talent pool in Visakhapatnam was very encouraging and the company had also succeeded in attracting IT professionals from the bigger cities to the city. “We aspire to be No. 1 provider of IT services in the city,” he said and added that the company creates digital platforms and services for businesses and governments to manage millions of interactions every day.“We are leveraging the power of cloud, mobile phones and IoT, combined with technologies such as blockchain.”
