Anil Ambani promoted electricity distribution utilities BSES Rajdhani and BSES Yamuna said that they are co-operating with Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) with regards to their audit.
“We are extremely surprised at the stand taken by CAG Counsel in front of the High Court of Delhi. BSES discoms had made a detailed entry level presentation to senior CAG officials on February 13,” BSES said in a statement.
“We have also submitted complete information on 65 queries that have been raised by CAG. Additionally, the CAG team have also been taken through presentations and review of a variety of our operations including entire billing processes, IT Processes, SCADA, etc. In fact, the auditors have also been provided viewing rights on our entire data base,” it added.
The utility claims to have provided over 10,000 pages of documents sought by CAG and also provided full viewing rights to its entire database.
The in-depth presentation, besides describing the journey since 2002, also dwelled on various measures to reduce aggregate technical and commercial losses (AT&C), improve power supply, network up gradation, consumer satisfaction and major activities in their operational areas.
They were also informed about the savings in subsidy burden to the Delhi Government due to additional revenue accrued on account of reduction in losses, said BSES.
