Managed office solution provider Skootr, which currently provides ready-made office spaces to around 65 clients in Gurgaon, Noida, Jaipur and Mumbai, plans to expand to five new cities this year and to a total of 30 cities by 2019, Puneet Chandra, founder and CEO, told BusinessLine .
The cities being targeted for expansion include Tier II and III cities, he said.
Skootr offers designed, plug-and-play working spaces and customises them depending on the requirements of entrepreneurs and corporate enterprises. Its clients include multi-city corporates, start-ups, freelancers, SMEs and BPOs.
The total number of managed workstations, each nearly 40 sqft in size, will increase from the existing 1,800 to 2,500 by July, Chandra said.
Incepted in 2015 and headquartered in Gurgaon, Skootr has competition from rivals such as Awfis and Innovate. “We have so far invested $500,000 (₹3.34 crore) from our own internal resources and plan to invest more.”
Skootr plans to soon foray into Bengaluru and Hyderabad and double the seating capacity of its Gurgaon-based office spaces to 2,000. With its customer-centric model of operations, the company envisions to have 1 lakh seats when it expands network to 30 cities. The company is looking at promoting its franchisee model for greater service penetration on a pan-India level.
