The second mine sold on Tuesday in the third tranche of coal mine auction was Bhaskarpara in Chhattisgarh with 24.06 million tonne of extractable reserves. The winning bid was ₹ 755 a tonne by Crest Steel and Power Ltd who beat Jindal Steel and Power Ltd and Godawari Natural Resources for the block.
Topworth Urja & Metals has emerged as the first winner in the third tranche of coal mine auctions which began on Tuesday. The company's bid of ₹ 715 a tonne emerged as the highest for Marki Mangli I in Maharashtra.
The mine has extractable reserves of 9.96 million tonne. Others in the race were Grace Industries and Lloyds Metal and Energy
