Crompton Greaves has posted a 7 per cent rise in net profit at ₹64 crore (₹60 crore) for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.
Consolidated revenue was at ₹3,442 crore against ₹3,195 crore.
The company said it has bagged orders worth ₹2,899 crore in Q1 FY-15 and that the order backlog stood at ₹9,585 crore.
Laurent Demortier, CEO and MD, said: “The Q1 FY-15 performance is driven by turnaround of operations in Europe and Canada as planned and growth in automation and system activities.”
The power business segment recorded revenue of ₹2,019 crore, up 10.4 per cent. Export orders from India stood at ₹327 crore, up 30 per cent, over the same period last year.
Crompton Greaves consumer business revenue at ₹861 crore logged 7 per cent growth, with the fan division growing 11 per cent and lighting division at 9 per cent.
On Wednesday, the company scrip was marginally up at ₹196.40 on the BSE.
