Electrical equipment maker Crompton Greaves today reported an increase of 20.69 per cent in its standalone net profit at Rs 134.80 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014. The company had posted a profit of Rs 111.69 crore in the same period of previous fiscal.
The company’s net sales increased to Rs 1,765.85 crore in the July-September 2013 quarter compared to Rs 1,670.21 crore during the same period a year ago.
For the first half of 2013-14 fiscal, Crompton Greaves profit increased to Rs 259.43 crore against Rs 231.96 crore in the year-ago period.
Crompton Greaves net sales in H1 period (April-September) increased to Rs 3,585.27 crore compared to Rs 3,329.38 crore in the same period last year.
Shares of the company today closed at Rs 106.80 at the BSE, down 0.33 per cent from their previous close.
