Engine maker Cummins India today reported 66.06 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2012, at Rs 234.08 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 140.96 crore in the corresponding period previous year, Cummins India said in a filing to the BSE.
The net income during the third quarter of the current fiscal also went up by 13.21 per cent to Rs 1,089.46 crore from Rs 962.37 crore in the year-go period, it added.
The company’s Board of Directors also declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per equity share of Rs 2 each for 2012-3.
Shares of Cummins India today closed trading 1.99 per cent up at Rs 488.55 apiece on BSE.
