Despite macro-headwinds, Dabur India posted a consolidated net profit of Rs243.6 crore, up 15.7 per cent in the third quarter ended December 31, compared with Rs210.5 crore in the corresponding quarter a year-ago. Aided by volume growth and price hike, the company’s consolidated net sales were up 16.8 per cent to Rs1,904.3 crore from Rs1,630.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company said while its health supplement business grew by 19.5 per cent, air freshener up by over 27 per cent. The food business and shampoo businesses grew by 18 per cent and 24.7 per cent, respectively. The toothpaste business grew by over 14 per cent while the skin care category reported an over 13 per cent growth during the quarter. Its international business ended the quarter with a 26 per cent growth, led by strong performance in the Gulf, Egypt and Nigeria.
