After the US Food and Drug Administration issued import alerts on its products, FMCG major Dabur said it did not officially export products to US and will take it up with the food and health regulator.
Unauthorised exports
The company said these were unauthorised exports and it did not export these products to the US.
In a statement, a company spokesperson said, “Indian companies regularly get such alerts from authorities in the US and other developed countries.
“On basis of these alerts, we prepare a dossier and submit relevant information to the authorities, post which these matters are resolved.”
Products in question
The import alerts have been issued for its products that include Meswak toothpaste, and Fairness Crème Bleach manufactured at its plants in Baddi and Nalagarh at Himachal Pradesh.
These import alerts are meant for detention of unapproved products promoted in the US without physical examination.
Last month, US FDA had issued import alert against Indian drug firm Wockhardt on its manufacturing facility near Aurangabad.
