Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd, Japan, said that it is trying to increase its market share to 15 per cent from the existing 12 per cent.
The company plans to enter new markets in tier II and III cities like Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Patna, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Lucknow, Visakhapatnam and Kochi.
Daikin India also plans to increase its national dealership network to 2,000 from the current number of over 1,000.
