Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has started exporting the first lot of Fuso trucks, manufactured at its Oragadam plant, to Sri Lanka. The 64 trucks exported are in the 9-, 12- and 25-tonne range.
Marc Llistosella, Managing Director & CEO, DICV, said: “This is a realisation of our promise to export from Chennai. Going forward, more trucks will be exported to other Asian and African markets.”
The Fuso brand of trucks is owned by Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, which is part of the Daimler Trucks division of Daimler AG.
