Cement maker Dalmia Bharat Ltd today said its sales grew by 7 per cent in May to 8.65 lakh tonnes compared to 8.09 lakh tonnes in the year-ago period.
Production of the company, which has a total capacity of 90 lakh tonnes per annum, rose by eight per cent to 8.59 lakh tonnes from 7.96 lakh tonnes during the same month last year, it said in a BSE filing.
During April-May period, Dalmia Bharat Ltd’s sales rose by six per cent to 16.49 lakh tonnes from 15.55 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period last year.
Production also increased by four per cent to 16.30 lakh tonnes from 15.63 lakh tonnes in the year-ago period.
