Diversified conglomerate ITC Ltd is investing around ₹ 25,000 crore across various projects in the country over the next five years, said Y C Deveshwar, Chairman, here on Wednesday.
The investment will be across different verticals that include cigarettes, hotels, agriculture, paperboards, fast moving consumer goods and information technology.
According to Deveshwar, ITC Ltd has invested between ₹7,000 crore and ₹8,000 crore over the last two years (across the country).
“There are various projects that are under different stages of investment across the country. We would be investing ₹ 25,000 crore in these projects,” he said while speaking at the Bengal Global Business Summit organised in the city.
Of this, investment in West Bengal would be around ₹3,000 crore, he said.
Currently, ITC is working on 40 different projects that under various stages of implementation.
This includes 1.8 mn sq ft of space for information technology operations in Bengaluru, he said.
