Dhathri Ayurveda Private Ltd will soon introduce 100 retail outlets, which will include hospitals and clinics to propagate authentic ayurveda practices.

In order to cater to the emerging ethical ayurveda market, where medicines are prescribed by doctors rather than over the counter sales, the company also planned to launch 100 ayurveda medicines and an array of patented medicines from its state of the art manufacturing facility at Nellad.

Addressing a press conference last evening, Dr S. Sajikumar, Managing Director and Chief Physician, said that the company would invest Rs 10 crore for the development of ayurveda medicines and infrastructure. The new venture will provide 1,000 job opportunities, both directly and indirectly.

The company also proposed to set up Dhathri Ayurveda Foundation for the promotion of authentic ayurveda globally.

The Foundation would focus on providing comprehensive healthcare solutions through hospitals, doctors and prescribed products. In a focused ‘War Against Diabetes' programme, Dhathri will organise a national seminar on diabetes on June 26 at Presidency Hotel in Ernakulam.

Mr K. Babu, Kerala Minister for Excise, will inaugurate the seminar, where well-known ayurvedic doctors from across the country will make presentations.
