Disney India has announced plans to extend its TV series Arjun: Prince of Bali to a mobile game as well as consumer products. The series, Disney India’s first local animation property developed with Green Gold Animation, was launched in 2014 and is now in its second season.
InteractiveThe company’s interactive division has developed a mobile game, which has features such as weapon upgrades as the levels progress.
At the same time, Disney India’s consumer products division in collaboration with Green Gold has launched apparel, stationary and toy-like figurines, bow and arrow sets among others, for now.
Expanding rangeThe company is next exploring expanding the Arjun-themed product line by launching products such as school bags, lunch boxes, water bottles, note-books and home decor with bed sheet sets, cushions and mugs.
Vijay Subramanian, Vice-President and Head, Content and Communication-Media Networks, Disney India, said: “We saw the potential for extending this TV series as the first season of Arjun gained immense popularity among our young viewers. We believe that the merchandise and the game will provide kids a stronger and immersive engagement experience with their favourite characters.”
