Dr Reddy’s Labs recalls muscle relaxant drug from US market

In another recent recall notification, currently DRL has been withdrawing multiple lots of Citalopram tablets from the US market.

Pharma major >Dr Reddy’s Laboratories is recalling its muscle relaxant tizanidine tablets from the US market due to labelling issues.

The recall was initiated voluntarily by the Hyderabad-based company, as per an intimation from the company to the US Food and Drug Administration.

Over 1.17 lakh bottles are being recalled from the market. Each bottle has 150 tablets.

As per the US regulator, the recall is dubbed as class III recall, in which adverse health impact is unlikely.

Dr Reddy’s scrip gained 0.54 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange and is trading at Rs 1,897 by the lunch hour on Friday.
