Celebrity management firm Kwan has joined hands with brand management and licensing firm Dream Theatre to launch a new venture that will focus on developing retail brands in partnership with celebrities. The joint venture, called Mojostar, will focus on partnering with celebrities to co-create authentic brands across sectors, including fashion, fitness and personal care. Anirban Das Blah, Director, Kwan Entertainment, and founding partner, Mojostar, said: “While the West has seen the proliferation of super brands created by celebrities, the area remains untapped in India. We will invest and leverage on our in-house design, product development and distribution teams to develop these products in partnership with celebrities.”
“We believe there is a strong potential to create celebrity brands in not just the fashion space, but also in the FMCG space. We hope to develop at least four-fivecelebrity brands in the next five years. We aim to have revenues of about $500 million in five years,” Blah told BusinesLine.
Mojostar has already tied up with Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Tiger Shroff to launch the first line of celebrity brand products, the company said in a statement.
Jiggy George, founder and CEO, Dream Theatre, and founding partner, Mojostar, said: “This joint venture will be leveraging our mutual strengths to revolutionise the way retail brands are created in India.”
