Three employees of Durgapur Steel Plant of SAIL had suffered burn injuries at the bloom caster unit on Monday when molten metal accidentally splashed on to them.

According to a DSP release, the three were undergoing treatment at a local hospital. The condition of the injured employees is stated to be "stable".​ Meanwhile, cause of the accident is being investigated.
