The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday allowed tyre-maker Dunlop India Ltd two more days to deposit Rs 10 crore.
Dunlop’s prayer for stay on a winding-up order will be heard only after it deposited the amount.
A Division Bench comprising Justice Girish Gupta and Justice Tarun Kumar Das told the Dunlop counsel that the required amount be submitted before the Bench hears its appeal.
Pre-condition
Dunlop India had on Monday moved the Division Bench seeking a stay on the winding-up order issued by Justice Sanjib Banerjee, on January 31.
Accordingly, the Division Bench had put a precondition on the tyre-maker that it deposit a sum of Rs 10 crore by Wednesday (February 6). Dunlop India, however, failed to deposit the amount.
