Having paid salaries and wages for nearly 10 months now, to its idle workforce of nearly 1,000 at Sahagunj, Dunlop India Ltd has indicated delay in payment of salary for July. A notice in this regard was already issued.
The decision was reportedly taken in the wake of workers' agitation against attempted transfer of raw material inventory by the Dunlop management, from Sahagunj to other tyre facilities of the group.
Sahagunj facility has remained inoperative for nearly 10 months now allegedly on grounds of high incidences of unlawful activity including theft in the area.
