EID Parry has reported a net profit of Rs 5.42 crore on a total income of Rs 659 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013.
The standalone results for the quarter include the numbers of Haliyal and Sankili sugar mills, the demerged units of Parry Sugar Industries.
The results of the quarter are not comparable with the corresponding quarter previously.
During the fourth quarter of 2011-12, the Murugappa Gropu company reported a net profit of Rs 143.11 crore on a total income of Rs 466.12 crore.
The consolidated net profit for the quarter was Rs 94.66 crore (Rs 172.37 crore) on a total income of Rs 2,638.21 crore (Rs 3,602.27 crore).
On the NSE, the company’s shares of Re 1 closed at Rs 153.40 against the previous close of Rs 153.85.
