Pumps and Systems manufacturing major EKKI has rolled out a new range of “Sump Submersibles” for the global market.
The roll out happened at the Building and Construction Expo – Big 5, now underway in Dubai.
Speaking to Business Line from Dubai, Kanishka Arumugam, Director, EKKI Pumps said the new range of pumps could be used to draw water from any type of clean water sumps such as tanks, wells, river, lakes and dams for agriculture, building services and public utilities.
“Sump submersibles have significant advantages over the traditional surface monoblocs and multistage pumps as it can be kept completely submerged, requires no pump room and above all is noiseless,” he explained.
Claiming that EKKI is the first company to design and introduce the concept of sump submersibles in India, Arumugam P, Chief Executive, EKKI Group said that the product was born out of India's frugal innovation capability.
“Emerging markets look for such product range; the market application for such pumps is huge, both within and outside the country,” he added.
Further stating that the roll out is in line with the company's vision of reaching out to 10 global markets and achieving 7 per cent of its revenues from exports in four years (by 2020), Kanishka Arumugam said that the company is actively scouting and signing up sales partnerships with distributors globally.
Incidentally, this is the second product category that EKKI has unveiled for the global market. The company launched its Borehole Submersible range at Milan in Italy early this year.
