Electronics firm Salora International has entered into a tie up with Sharp Business System to sell products like microwave oven, vacuum cleaners and small kitchen appliances pan-India.

Apart from this, Salora will be distributing Sharp's CRT television exclusively in North Indian markets. This partnership may spread across other products of Sharp Business Systems as well in due course of time.

Sharp Business Systems, a fully owned subsidiary of Sharp Corporation, is aggressively focusing on the IT sector to provide complete Business Solutions with its new range of products.

“Sharp considers India to be an extremely important market for its products. It is a measure of this strong belief in the Indian market, that it has three subsidiaries in India. We are confident that with the support of a strong distribution partner like Salora, Sharp will soon be able to establish a strong presence all over India,” Mr Sunil K. Sinha, CEO, Sharp India operations and MD Sharp Business Systems (India), said.

Sharp's reach to get head start

The alliance with Salora International will give a head start for Sharp to increase its reach. Mr Gopal Jiwarajka, Managing Director Salora International, “Salora International has been historically associated with several global conglomerates and today, with this tie-up with Sharp Business Systems, the company has further strengthened its core competency in distribution.”

Earlier this year, Salora International Ltd had undertaken a rejig exercise. It had shut down its own television manufacturing plant.
