The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday added serving IAS officer Mr L.V. Subrahmanyam and former IAS officer and present Chief Executive Officer of NCC Infra, Mr K.V. Rao, in the list of 12 accused in the Emaar properties case.
“We filed a 300-page chargesheet supported by 50,000 documents after examining 286 witnesses,” Mr V.V. Lakshmi Narayana, Joint Director, CBI, told newspersons after filing the chargesheet in a special court here.
The chargesheet named Mr B.P. Acharya, senior IAS officer and Andhra Pradesh Home Secretary, as prime accused while Mr Mohammed Ali Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties PJSC, Dubai, was the second accused.
Mr L.V. Subrahmanyam was the Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation prior to Mr B.P. Acharya while Mr K.V. Rao served as Andhra Pradesh Principal Secretary, Infrastructure.
The others accused included Mr Koneru Prasad and Mr T. Ranga Rao, MD of Stylish Homes.
The CBI would file a supplementary chargesheet after completion of investigation into the role of Mr Sunil Reddy, a relative of Kadapa MP Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, and Mr G. Vijaya Raghava, a senior executive of Emaar MGF.

Meanwhile, the court adjourned a bail petition filed by Mr Acharya, who was arrested by CBI on Monday.
It, however, granted anticipatory bail to Stylish Homes MD Mr Ranga Rao.
The Emaar case pertains to alleged irregularities in the development and sale of a township jointly developed by Emaar MGF and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation.
