Kolkata-based FMCG player Emami Ltd has posted 10.45 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the third quarter ended December, at Rs 94.49 crore.
The company’s profit was Rs 85.55 crore for the October- December quarter in 2010-11, it said in a filing to the BSE.
Emami’s Q3 net sales increased 13.23 per cent to Rs 457.26 crore, as against Rs 403.80 crore in the year-ago period.
“Emami has recorded substantial growth from its power brands like Navratna Oil, Zandu Balm, Fair and Handsome and Menthoplus Balm. Brand extension Navratna Extra Thanda Oil also did extremely well,” the company said in a statement.
“The demand of personal care products, especially among the new age metrosexual men, is growing steadily and hence provides a huge business opportunity,” it said.
