Emco Ltd today said it has got an Rs 458—crore orders from PowerGrid Corporation for execution of a transmission line from Champa to Kurukshetra.
“This (the order) is part of the 800 KV HVDC overhead transmission line network to be laid from Champa, Chhattisgarh to Kurukshetra, Haryana,” Emco said in a BSE filing.
The transmission line would be designed to carry 6,000 MW power from generating stations in Chhattisgarh to Northern Grid.
The order also involves supply of galvanised steel towers which Emco Ltd would produce at its Asoj facility in Gujarat.
Emco Ltd has also commissioned a 500—km transmission line project for Power Grid Corporation in the current fiscal.
The company’s shares ended at Rs 33.65 apiece, up 6.32 per cent over the previous closing on the BSE.
