Eros International Media on Friday posted a rise of 44.70 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs 31.4 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2012.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 21.7 crore during the same period of previous fiscal, Eros International Media Ltd said in a statement.
Total income of the company rose to Rs 259.3 crore during the first quarter ended June 30, 2012, as against Rs 162.2 crore during the same period of previous fiscal.
“We are once again proud to have picked a fine slate of films such as Housefull 2, Ferrari Ki Sawaari and Vicky Donor, which have not only performed well at the box office but also been successfully monetised across television and digital platforms,” Eros International Media Managing Director Sunil Lulla said.
Shares of Eros International today closed at Rs 178.80 a piece on the BSE, down 0.39 per cent from its previous close.
