Entertainment firm Eros International Media today reported a 12.4 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 55.2 crore for the September quarter of the current fiscal.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 63 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal, Eros International Media said in a regulatory filing.
Total income during the quarter under review fell 44 per cent to Rs 273.9 crore as against Rs 488.7 crore in the year ago period.
“We have reported a healthy performance during the quarter on the back of strong releases, satellite sales and higher contribution from library monetisation,” Sunil Lulla, Executive Vice Chairman and MD of Eros International Media Ltd said.
The company’s stock closed 4.69 per cent higher at Rs 209.70 apiece on BSE today.
