Railway passengers would soon have access to movies, television content, music videos and audio tracks as RailTel and media group Eros International have come together for providing entertainment services to travellers.
Eros Now and RailTel have announced a tie-up through which the former’s video streaming services will be launched on the latter’s broadband, the media and entertainment firm said in a statement.
The broadband streaming services would enable passengers at railway stations across the country to download and view their favourite entertainment content from Eros Now on their phone.
Commenting on the development, Eros Now CEO Rishika Lulla Singh said: “We are happy to partner with RailTel in this endeavour to provide Wi-Fi facilities to the common man which has increasingly become a necessity.
“The association will further amplify the reach of Eros Now in providing the best in entertainment to a wider range of consumers.”
RailTel has launched a high-speed Wi-Fi network at key railway stations and passengers will be informed about this exclusive service on arrival at stations.
Established in 2012, Eros Now is a video on demand portal of the Eros Group.
It offers thousands of new and catalogue movies from Eros as well as other major Bollywood studios, a large section of premium TV content as well as thousands of music videos and audio tracks.
